This is a picture of a blowhole. Blowholes are made from waves crashing into a headland and eroding away the sides creating a tunnel. Sometimes the waves then erode a hole in the roof where water and air shoot out of the hole.

this is a very interesting picture i belive it was taken at "spouting horn" on the island Kawaii i have seen it in person if it is the place i am thinking of.
