Coastal Erosion

This coast has many aspects of coastlines. As you can see in the middle of the picture there is a bay surrounded by headlands. In a couple thousand years the middle part of this piece of land sticking out will erode and become an island with a trail of smaller pieces of rock in between the soo-to-be island to the mainland. The water seems to come from the east side of the picture thus moving the sand around the coast farther up.

  1. By the looks of the waves hitting the headland it looks as if a sea stack will be formed in time...

  2. Looks like the cliffs will retreat forming a wave cut platform.
