This is a sea stack that was created through wave refraction, eventually eroding away the arch that connected it to the headland. Waves smashed against the headland creating caves on each side, once connected waves inside would hit together, going up, creating blowholes. The blowholes eventually would erode away breaking the arch away from the headland leaving behind a sea stack shown in the picture.
