Clouds and Precipitation

The above cloud is a Cumulonimbus Cloud. These are the thunderstorm clouds, they are tall, dense and grow vertically as opposed to horizontally. The fact that this cloud was tall and dense helped me characterize it as cumulonimbus cloud.

The above diagram shows orographic precipitation. The diagram is showing the warm moist air being pushed up because it cant go through the mountain. As the air rises it cools and condenses causing it to rain. Than as the air moves down the mountain it becomes warm and moist once again.
