Glacier Thinning



This picture shows the average change in Mountain Glacier Thickness since 1970. As you can see, one of the worst places of glacier thinning is in North America, particularly the west coast of Canada. This is largely because of increased temperatures, which put the most pressure on the poles, increasing the temperature severalfold faster there than at the equator. This disrupts the currents, which change the makeup of the average climates of areas such as Europe.
