Hurricane Andrew was one of 3 powerful category 5 hurricanes to make landfall in the 20th century. It was the first named hurricane, and killed 65 people in his path across the Bahamas and Florida in August of 1992. Andrew caused billions of collars in damage, making it the costliest hurricane in US history up until Katrina in 2005.
