This is a cheetah. They are endangered because of decline in prey, loss of habitat, poaching, and being shot as a livestock predator. Today only about 150 remain in Iran, and about 12,000 cheetahs live in sub-Saharan African grasslands. The main threats to cheetah survival will vanish when people change their attitudes toward predator’s people always see them as treats to their livestock so they hunt them.
