This is a picture of a blowhole. They are cracks on the top of a cliff through which air and sea water blow through. The blowhole is fed from the seaward end via joints and tunnels. Blowholes are formed from waves crashing into the headland creating a tunnel and then water begins eroding the roof sometimes forming a hole.

the water must travel far from the coast to the blowhole if it has such a huge explosion form that far from the coast.
